What TieoutIQ does not do
Most of what you need in order to decide is what a product cannot do, and that is usually the part you have to get on a call to find out. So it is on this page instead. Everything below is true as of today, not a roadmap.
What it is
TieoutIQ reads prospect statement PDFs, ties the extracted positions out against the statement's own printed totals, works out fees, concentration and embedded gains from the figures that reconcile, and produces a proposal. That is the whole scope.
What it is not
It is not an aggregation service, a portfolio-accounting system, a planning tool, a CRM, or a performance-reporting platform, and it does not connect to any of them. It reads documents you already have.
Why publish this
Because a pilot that fails on a requirement we could have named up front wastes more of your time than ours. If something below is a hard requirement, you have your answer without a call.
The specifics
Does TieoutIQ integrate with our CRM?
No. There are no integrations of any kind today. Statements go in as PDFs and results come out as PDF and Excel. Redtail, Wealthbox and Salesforce Financial Services Cloud are not connected, and nothing writes into them.
Can it push data into eMoney, RightCapital or MoneyGuidePro?
No. There is no export path into eMoney, RightCapital or MoneyGuidePro, and no plan we are willing to put a date on. This is the single most requested thing we hear, and it is on the roadmap rather than in the product. Today the route into another system is the Excel workbook.
Does it connect to Orion, Addepar or Black Diamond?
No. TieoutIQ does not read from or write to portfolio-accounting or performance-reporting platforms. It reads the statement PDFs you were handed.
Is this an account aggregation service?
No. TieoutIQ has no custodian feeds and no account connections. It does not log into anything on a client's behalf, and it cannot see a held-away 401(k) or any other account that has not been handed to you as a document. If the data is not in a statement you can upload, TieoutIQ cannot get to it.
Can I use our own model portfolios?
Not yet. Proposals currently compare against three built-in allocations. Firm-specific models are on the roadmap and are one of the things design partners are shaping, so if this is a hard requirement today, TieoutIQ is not ready for you.
Do you have a SOC 2 report?
No. SOC 2 Type II is on the compliance roadmap and the observation window begins with our first production firms. If your diligence process requires a completed report before a pilot, we cannot satisfy it right now.
Where is the data processed, and is there a US region?
Processing is on AWS in the EU, in Frankfurt (eu-central-1). There is no US region today. Additional regions are on the roadmap, and firms with specific residency requirements can review deployment details with us during evaluation.
Which custodians are supported?
There is no supported-custodian list, and we will not claim one. Extraction is written against document structure rather than per-custodian templates, so what decides whether a statement works is whether it prints a holdings table or an activity ledger and whether it prints a total to reconcile against.
Does it handle equity compensation, RSUs or ESPP schedules?
Not as a distinct feature. RSU and ESPP positions that appear as holdings on a brokerage statement are extracted like any other position, but there is no vesting schedule modelling, no grant tracking, and no equity-compensation planning.
Is the performance appendix a track record?
No. It is a hypothetical backtest against broad benchmarks, it is switched off unless you choose to include it, and the methodology, coverage and required disclosures print alongside it. It is not a record of what any portfolio actually returned and it is not an advertisement of performance.
Is TieoutIQ an adviser?
No. TieoutIQ is software used by registered advisers. Analyses and proposals are prepared for adviser review and are not investment advice until adopted and delivered by your firm. A proposal cannot be generated until flagged rows have been resolved, confirmed or overridden with a note.
Can I sign up right now?
Not self-serve. Access goes through the design-partner program while we onboard a small group of founding firms by hand. Self-serve signup opens after that.
